Verifiable Everything: What We Heard at Token2049

Token2049 brought together some of the brightest builders, thinkers, and founders across web3 and AI, and this year, one theme echoed through almost every conversation: AI agents are here, and verifiable data is the key to making them real.

Let’s Get H(ai): Building the Future Together

The week kicked off with Let’s Get H(ai), hosted by AltLayer and co-hosted by DataHaven, EigenLayer, and Babylon. Our dream team (Alex, Ryan, and Prasanna) joined the event to connect with teams exploring the future of AI agents and infrastructure, from verifiable compute and agent memory to decentralized coordination, communications, and payments.

The discussion centered around how modular and verifiable data layers (like DataHaven’s) will support the next generation of AI-driven applications.

“AI is powerful and runs on data as its fuel. This is why verifiable, pure data is critical for making informed and trustworthy decisions that can be proven.” ~ Ryan Levy

(Re)fundamentals: Token 2049 Edition

A little later in the week, Ryan joined the Product-Market Fit panel at AltLayer’s (Re)fundamentals alongside:

    • Micky Sun (BD Director, PANONY & PANews)
    • Francesco Andreoli (Metamask / Consensys)
    • Ming Guo (Co-Founder & Chief Scientist, Project ZKM)
    • Claire Ma (Co-Founder & Head of Product, EthSign)

The group unpacked what true product-market fit looks like in web3 today, especially as infrastructure projects evolve to support emerging AI and onchain data use cases.

“The next wave of PMF in web3 won’t come from speculation, it needs to solve a real world problem,” said Ryan. “We started with the “broken telephone conundrum and worked our way from there.”

NextGen AI: Where Web3 Meets the Agent Economy

DataHaven was also proud to sponsor NextGenAI, an invite-only event presented by MomentumX Global, Crescendo, and NRNAgents, in partnership with Google Cloud, 0G Labs, peaq, and DataHaven.

Ryan spoke on the panel “Beyond the Hype: What’s Actually Next for AI & Agents,” diving into how onchain storage and verifiable infrastructure enable more transparent, autonomous, and composable AI ecosystems.

The Buzz

All week, a few themes came up again and again in panels and hallway chats:

  • Stablecoins are still the lifeblood of onchain commerce.
  • AI Agents are the hottest topic, especially around memory, autonomy, and payments.
  • Verifiable everything (compute, data, AI, comms) is quickly becoming a shared standard.
  • DEXs are seeing renewed interest thanks to new models like Hyperliquid.
  • DATs (Digital Asset Treasuries) are emerging as a new institutional entry point.
  • Omnichain is evolving from a buzzword into a real design principle.
  • And yes, AI agent payments, particularly around Google’s AP2, came up in nearly every conversation.

It’s clear that web3 and AI are converging faster than ever, and the winners will be the ones who make these systems interoperable, verifiable, widely distributed, and user-friendly.

For DataHaven, Token 2049 underscored what we’ve believed all along: the future of AI depends on trusted, transparent data. And that’s exactly what we’re building toward.
